Go Orange For Animals Day! (Orange is the official color for animal abuse.) The Klamath Humane Society and Klamath CAP (Child Abuse Prevention) joined forces to bring awareness to the public about the correlation between animal abuse and child abuse. We invited you and your pets to enjoy a playful day at VETERANS PARK (courtesy of the Klamath Dog Fanciers) with Games, Prizes, Kid's Area, Meet the Breeds, K9 Unit, Angels In Whiskers (certified therapy dogs), and more... Going Orange is a celebration of compassion for all living things and a FUN way to "PROMOTE KINDNESS & PREVENT CRUELTY TO ANIMALS."

Teddy and Bear shared their first birthday with everyone who stopped in to Double-C to say hi. We were able to talk to a lot of wonderful people and received donations for the new shelter! A big thank you to all who stopped by!
Thank you for joining us for amazing music, food, vendors, pet activities and a fun filled day!

This allowed more than 350 people in attendance to hear our story and hopefully, share it with their friends. Many of the attendees approached us during or after the event to offer suggestions to make it even more profitable next year or to ask how they could be a part of the planning team for 2010. All in all, we anticipate an even more exceptional event in 2010 and hope you will again be an integral part of its success. On behalf of the Klamath Humane Society and the pets of
